Training

I am very happy to have dogs stay with me for a residential period of training  or for just an activity holiday – perhaps whilst you are on holiday, as a variation to the normal care offered by busy boarding kennels? (Collection can be arranged from certain parts of the country)
Training courses are also followed up by handler tuition, which is a vital part of any dogs training, also I offer full back up & support via phone or email once you have taken your dog home. You may be very pleasantly surprised by the results I
achieve.

Later this year we are hoping to be able to offer residential courses for BOTH handler & dog, why not arrange to spend some time in this beautiful part of the country staying at our small holding, enjoying the fresh air & fantastic scenery whilst at the same time training your dog & learning about dog behaviour?

Whilst dogs are with me they are carefully integrated with my dogs so they can enjoy the same freedom & exercise that mine do, also learning very vital lessons about how to socialise & behave in a pack situation, which is invaluable knowledge for dogs who when back at home are expected to mix with strange dogs in public places. Whilst here your dogs will also have the opportunity to become accustomed to both horses & cattle, something which is rarely available to most dogs today.

For the formal training I can offer from the very basic obedience – sit, down, walk to heel, stay, wait & generally learning good manners etc. so your dog has a very good understanding of what is expected of him, what is appropriate & inappropriate behaviour, therefore becoming a pleasure to live with once taken home.
All the training is carried out using consistency, kindness, positive reinforcement, dog psychology, and most importantly play & PRAISE, a happy dog is a dog who will learn.

I have specialised in the training dogs of all breeds with specific behavioural problems for many years with tremendous success.

I only take a maximum of one dog at a time for training (two if from the same family), so you can be assured your dog will receive endless care & attention, learning new skills, having a very mentally & physically stimulating time whilst here on holiday, …BOREDOM is NOT on the agenda!!

Whilst with me your dog will live as close to its home enviroment as possible, if it lives in doors at home, it will here, if it lives outside at home it will be housed in a warm, spacious kennel with attached covered run whilst it is here.

My aim is to make your dogs stay as happy as possible – every dog is an individual & is treated as such – hence me only taking one dog at a time.
